Stuart Holmes Sweeps Up At National Award

We were utterly thrilled to be named Runner Up in the 2015 L’Oréal Professionnel Men’s Image Award at the 2015 L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final.


As one of the industries most prestigious awards, the three-month preparation journey came to a dramatic finale for Stuart and Jacob at the ceremony, which took place in London at the Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park.

Stuart said: “We are so proud of our incredible team – what an amazing achievement to have won this fantastic award out of hundreds of talented hairdressers throughout the UK – it’s great to receive such recognition for our excellence in hair cutting and colouring. Colouring in particular is an area we are consistently striving for excellence in and we are over the moon to have received such a stamp of approval in this area.”

We are so proud of our long-standing reputation as the hair colour experts and over the years, the salon has become a destination for customers looking for bespoke and specialist colouring services, which are in tune with their style.

The esteemed judging panel each agreed that Stuart Holmes Salon had met the brief with exactitude, the model look was a perfect example of beautifully executed colour and demonstrated a clear understanding of the latest catwalk trends and therefore winning them the runners up place for the L’Oreal Professionnel Men’s Image Award.


Stuart and Jacob joined over 1,000 members of the hairdressing industries most acclaimed and famous figures at the ceremony. The room filled with immense applause as Stuart and Jacob made their way to the stage to collect their prestigious trophy. The evening’s presenter, Lauren Laverne and Colour Director for Charles Worthington, Carolyn Newman, presented the award.

The Stuart Holmes Salon team created a fashion focused model look that took the judging panel by storm and ensured them a prominent place, fighting off tough competition from 16 grand finalists from across the UK.

Our super cool model look stood out amongst over 1,000 entries and secured them a place within one of the high energy eight Regional Finals across the UK.

During the intense day of the grand final tension was slowly built as an elite panel of highly successful, world renowned hairdressers were brought in to ensure each model infused the three elements of a precision cut, flawless looking colour and catwalk inspired styling. Leaders in the industry included Carolyn Newman, Jamie Brooks, Sally Brooks, Jo Hansford MBE, Richard Ward and Andrew Barton were all on board to ensure the overall winner encapsulated ‘Hair Inspired by Fashion’.
