I've been at the salon for almost 5 years and I completed my hairdressing training at the salon as an apprentice and have since worked my way up to a Creative Stylist/Colourist. I have completed various qualifications during my time at the salon including NVQs and creative courses at the L'Oreal Professional Academy in London.  I am currently studying for my NVQ Level 3 in hairdressing - it's important to me to always push myself further in my skills and I love learning new techniques from the various courses I have attended.  One of my favourite aspects about being a hairdresser is that I really love colouring hair - I've developed my colour knowledge to an exceptional standard and I really enjoy choosing new colours for my clients and making them feel great about the way they look.   I love being part of a busy, successful talented team and have been lucky enough to take part in creative work for the salon through photo shoots and fashion shows - more recently I assisted with a photo shoot for the National Perfect Wedding Magazine! I'm also known for my amazing blow dries - I love the challenge of unruly or difficult hair and I love the transformations for my clients for nights out or special events - I have a regular client base who book in with me for their weekly blow dries too!

TOP TIP: Want to create that amazing blow dry with volume and hold? I always use L'Oreal V.I.P to spray into the roots which will give the hair extra lift and volume.

FAVOURITE PRODUCT: I absolutely love Kerastase Lacque Couture hairspray to give your hair that long lasting hold - perfect for that night out!

One of my highlights is definitely getting my job at the Stuart Holmes Salon - I started as a trainee and have developed my career over the past few years! I absolutely LOVE what I do and couldn't imagine doing anything else!  I really enjoy helping people to look and feel great and I love choosing colours for my clients because even subtle changes can make their hair and look feel more alive and fresh.  I also really enjoy the challenge of complete colour changes and helping clients achieve hair colours they perhaps thought might not be possible. I also love the creative aspect of my industry and I've been lucky enough to work backstage at London's Graduate Fashion Week as part of the L'Oreal Professional hair team which was amazing at Central St Martin's Fashion College. I really enjoy attending courses and broadening my knowledge from a technical side as well as a creative side to my job - anything that can make me an even better hairdresser and teach me new skills is great! The latest course I attended was at the L'Oreal International Academy in London and was purely colour orientated, I learnt so many great skills on changing hair colour tones and giving my clients their perfect true colour - which is exactly what I love most about my job!

TOP TIP:
Always use a heat protective product to prevent causing damage to your hair.

FAVOURITE PRODUCTS:
I love L'Oreal Smartbond which makes colouring hair better than ever and makes the hair stronger and shinier - it's an absolute 'must have' for all my colour clients. I also really recommend the Shu Uemura Colour Lustre shampoo because it keeps your hair colour looking fresh and also helps maintain strength and shine.

I enjoy most creative, on trend colouring and colour transformations because I love seeing my clients leave the salon with a new look and thrilled with their hair cut and colour. I am currently a L'Oreal ID Artist which means I was shortlisted out of hundreds of applicants throughout the UK selected to be part of the L’Oréal ID artist Programme.

This involves travelling throughout the UK and Internationally taking part in styling the hair for fashion shows , live demonstrations and photoshoots as a representative of L’Oréal Professional. This enables me to bring back all the top tips, trends and new techniques back to the salon for my clients to enjoy new styles and current trends. I regularly go to London to watch hair shows and demonstrations to keep in touch with the trends and what’s going on with the industry.

I was lucky enough to win apprentice of the year at college when I completed my NVQ level 2 and 3 before become a hair stylist. This was such an honour as I worked so hard in my training to be the best I could enabling me to be the passionate hair stylist I am today.

My constant inspiration is the upcoming and ongoing trends in hairdressing and hair colouring. By having this knowledge I can offer my clients the  latest looks every time they see me so I can make them feel their best !
